Half or full day Google Analytics workshop

We call this a workshop because it’s very interactive (as well as being our most popular course). All participants should have access to their own screen as well as watching what is happening on the trainer’s. Together we’ll explore what all this Google Analytics data really means. You’ll learn how to extract actionable insights, how to report back to others and how to identify problem areas.

In addition to going through what all the key metrics mean, what’s available as standard and where to find the kind of data needed to answer your questions, we cover the construction of custom segments and reports, dashboards and the definition of goals, funnels and events. For more advanced participants, we can also include an introduction to Google Tag Manager, cross-domain tracking and other more complex subjects.

Full Day SEO Course

Although you can’t learn everything there is to learn about SEO in a single day, you can get a good grasp of the basics: how to research keywords, how to optimize an individual page and write appropriate content, and how to build site authority using linkbuilding and simple social media.

We tailor content and discussion to your industry and if you already have one, your site. Ongoing support is always offered after the course, to make sure clients find their way into SEO as quickly and easily as possible whether working towards a career in agency SEO or on just one site in-house.

Half day linkbuilding course

Building links is incredibly important, but it’s also done badly more often than not. Over the course of this workshop, we’ll show you how professionals build high-quality links. We’ll also show you some of the dirty tricks lazy linkbuilders use and outline why they aren’t a good idea and how you can keep risk to a minimum.

Our linkbuilding training includes sign-up to useful services, an introduction to handy free software and a module on keeping track of progress. We’ll discuss where the best opportunities are likely to be in your particular area and how to go about getting them. You should leave the course ready and able to start building up your site’s authority with relevant, quality links from good sources.

Full or Half Day Social Media Course

We offer this course at an introductory (half day) level or as a deeper full day option. Topics include post mix, generating and finding content for social sharing, starting and finding conversations, and which medium (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google Plus, Weibo…) is most appropriate for which products, services, and campaign styles.

The full day social media workshop also includes a module on monitoring progress and competitor activity with free software. As with all the courses, participants get a handout to keep.

2-Hour Writing for the Web Course

This one covers the basics for copywriters and bloggers: everything you need to know to create SEO-friendly content, formatting and where to find trending topics. We also touch on how to promote and conversion-optimize blog content.
